Additional County Reviews
Here is the latest update on the preparations for the redevelopment of the Forest Oaks Golf Course:
County Reviews Plans
Our final subdivision plan and initial engineering and plat plans have all been submitted and are under review by County staff. The County has already provided us with comments which we are currently reviewing and addressing. Plan resubmittal is expected in mid-April.
From a site planning and engineering perspective, the plans remain substantially the same as they were first approved by the Zoning Board and County Commission. The County is now focused on ensuring existing drainage patterns are maintained and no adverse impacts occur due to the proposed development.
Water and Drainage Review
Mattamy has received the South Florida Water Management District’s (SFWMD) feedback for our second submittal. There are few substantive comments regarding stormwater management, which indicates that our plans comply with their design criteria. We expect approval from SFWMD following the next submittal in mid-April.
Mattamy has also received feedback from the Lake Worth Drainage District (LWDD) regarding the proposed routing of the LWDD canal that is to be relocated. LWDD confirmed our configuration is acceptable. We are now working on preparing the conveyance documents and the engineering plans for submission to the District for approval in April.
Community Outreach Continues
Mattamy representatives recently met with both the Fairway Club and Homes North HOAs to continue our discussion and collaboration regarding the project. We plan to continue to meet with HOAs throughout this process.
